Detailed Job Specification: 

Our client currently has a requirement for a Sales Analysis Manager who will provide a more intelligent analysis of data and start forming conclusions / ideas from its more ‘managerial’ study.

Drawing from information presented within the extensive suite of sales reports already in publication, this individual must make recommendations for changes to strategy, procedures, product or promotional efforts.

Primarily responsible for analysis and identification of emerging trends in an on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity and performance

Focus should include, but not be limited to, a review of margin, sales mix, profit mix, and balance in our product offering (price, finish, formats and card size etc).

Required to commission their own analysis; field research, competitor analysis and current market trends should inform your commentary and conclusions.

A key component of the role is the requirement to build strong and productive working relationships with our Creative and Manufacturing arm. Must provide clear & succinct guidance and direction.

Should understand the business and its strategies which help in decision making for the further improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting information will be key.

• Leading and mentoring a team of analysts.

• Ensure that analysis requirements are understood.

• Analysing performance, identifying trends and recommending actions.

• Regular and on-time issue of reports containing reflective conclusions, ideas and general guidance.

• To understand promotion performance and the impact promotional activities have on overall sale. Should include analysis of overall profitability.

• Significant focus to be placed on end of season reviews with a view to identifying opportunities for improvement. Consider sales & profit performance, product mix (price, style, caption, card size etc), availability, space and market trends etc.

• Assist the board and senior management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and sales forecasts.

Desired Skills / Experience:

The characteristics and skills required to be successful in your application can be described as follows:

• University degree and previous relevant experience.

• This person will be numerate, methodical, commercially astute and highly analytical.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.

• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.

• Proven background in supporting the improvement of sales & profit performance.

• Also an experienced manager/leader with proven team management skills. The candidate must have successfully managed teams of 3 or more.

• Experience with business process consulting and analysis.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Experience with general technical and business systems knowledge is a plus.

The remuneration package for the position is negotiable, but will be tailored to meet both experience and ability.
